Marquee wedding in Wales
Family is usually at the heart of every wedding celebration. If you live in the Welsh Mountains why not get married there! After all, marriage is fundamentally about standing together and declaring that you are becoming one family.
For Izzy and Ross, family was undeniably central to their lives. Living in close proximity to one another, their homes were always open, and their dinner tables were frequently filled with different family members. From the moment I arrived, if I’m being honest, I wasn’t entirely sure whose house I was actually in! I was introduced to so many family members that it was almost impossible to keep track.
The church was just five minutes down the lane, and with everyone knowing each other, the atmosphere was vibrant and full of warmth. It was a large wedding, but the real highlight was the incredible voices of the Abergavenny Male Voice Choir, which echoed across the Welsh hills and mountains, adding to the magical ambiance.
Izzy and Ross chose to hold their welsh mountain wedding reception at home. The family farm is set against the stunning backdrop of Sugar Loaf and the Skirrid in Monmouthshire. This breathtaking setting was perfect for their marquee wedding, where they celebrated with a proper Welsh knees-up. The reception featured plenty of fizz, oysters, and locally sourced produce, giving their guests a true taste of Welsh hospitality.
Here’s a glimpse into what was an unforgettable day, filled with love, tradition, and the beautiful spirit of family.
