Cotswolds Wedding Cost Guide 2026/27

The Cotswolds is one of the most sought-after wedding locations in the UK. Think rolling hills, honey-stone villages, iconic and varied venues and a sense of luxury at every turn. It also comes with a question that every couple asks early on:

How much does a Cotswolds wedding actually cost?

This guide breaks down real, current 2026 numbers so you can plan with confidence, avoid surprises, and understand where you budget will make the biggest impact.

Average Cotswolds wedding Cost in 2026

Most couples spend between £32,000 – £55,000 for a full wedding in the Cotswolds.

What makes the range so wide?

Level of styling and suppliers

The Cotswolds sits at the higher end of UK averages because of demand, travel, and the calibre of venues and suppliers.

Breakdown: What can you expect to spend

1. Venue and Catering – £12,000 -£30,000

This is almost always the biggest cost.

Typical Cotswolds venues fees:

Barn Venues: £6000-£12000

Manor Houses and Estates: £12,000 – £15,000

Luxury exclusive use hotels: £15,000 – £25,000

Catering (per head):

£80 – £100 for three courses

£15 – £30 for evening food

£40 – £80 for drinks packages

Venues with exclusive use like Elmore Court & Foxhill Manor sit at the top end.

2. Photography, videography and Content Creation

For an experienced photographer with 500+ weddings behind them

Full day coverage £2,500 -£4,000

Second shooters £300- £500

For an experienced videographer

Full day coverage £1800 -3000

Content creator £500 -£1000

Couples in the Cotswolds tend to prioritise photography and videography because the setting is so visually rich. There are options for hybrid shooters – people that do both film and photography in once but for some this will always be a compromise. 3. Florals – £2000 – £10,000

Garden-style florals are huge in the Cotswolds right now.

Typical spend:

Bridal bouquet: £120 – £200

Ceremony flowers: £500 – £2000

Reception tables: £800 – £3000

Statement installations:  £1,500 – £4000

You may also want flowers for our cake or fresh petals for confetti . Venues like Euridge manor often inspire a large floral budget because the spaces deserve it.

5. Hair and Makeup – £300 – £800

Bridal HMUA packages typically include

Wedding morning

Touch-ups

An extra cost for additional people outside the package at £60-£90 each

Katy Pheiffer makeup is the perfect choice for the Cotswold bride.

6. Music and Entertainment – £800 – £4000

The whole idea of a Cotswolds wedding is a good party. If you go for a DJ go for someone cool, perhaps with an add on Sax player for that extra vibe!

There are several bands in the area that are a vibe all on their own such as TUX FIZZ

7. Styling and Decor – £1,000 – £6,000

This varies wildly. Some couples will opt for a wedding stylist to help them bring together the look of a day and it’s dependent on:

Whether the venue is already beautiful (less can be more)

How much you want to personalise the space. Bespoke signage is something that’s not going anywhere.

Popular 2026 trends:

Soft layered table cloths

Coloured or patterned napkins

Candel-heavy evenings

Clean bespoke stationery

Deluxe companies like Salt and Scent  luxury planners can help you.

8. Transport and Accommodation – £500 – £3000

The Cotswolds is rural so don’t overlook transport.

Guest shuttles

Bridal Car

Prep accomodation if your venue doesnt offer it.

Accommodation like BIBURY FARM BARNS can be perfect if you want to have a few days of celebrations.

Where couples overspend (and where they don’t need to)

Overspend

This is a hard one, I want you to have it all! After all you deserve it, but I can give you some tips.

Be clever with your florals – I’m a huge flower fan and if your budget is unlimited please go crazy on the blooms, but if you can only go a little crazy, box clever, get installations that can be moved from your church or ceremony to your reception.

Less is more – Don’t over do the personalisation , opt for nice fizz glasses and elegant prep wear if you want a pleasing morning aesthetic, but not everything needs a monogram.

Multiple entertainment acts – Music during your drinks reception or a magician or live painter and a band or DJ that will keep the energy going in the evening is a good start. You don’t need it all.

Underspend

Photography – regret is common. Finding the right photographer is harder than people think. You’re not just choosing an aesthetic, you’re chosing a person, an artist. You want someone whose work you love yes, but someone who understands how you want to feel on the day. When couples underspend it’s because they underestimate how much trust and experience matter, your day will be unique to you, your photographer should be someone who shoots intuitively.

Lighting – how you light a venue can be transformative in Cotswolds venues.

Guest Transport – logistics matter more than people think.

How to build a realistic Cotswold wedding budget

1. Venue – It dictates everything – style, guest count, logistics and overall spend

2. Prioritise your top three

Most couples chhose:
