New Wedding Venue Ivy Lodge
Life in the Cotswolds and my adventures with the newest wedding venue, Ivy Lodge. If you’ve explored a little bit about me on my website ABOUT ME page you’ll know that I was born in london. Both of my parents are creatives, my father was an advertising photographer and my mum was a stylist.
My husband and I settled in Cirencester almost by accident. We had moved around a bit due to his job, and with two daughters, we needed to find a place to settle them into school life. Although I love London and still consider myself a true “Londoner,” I’ve always felt the pull of fresh air and open space. I wanted a bit more isolation than London could offer.
So, we bought a little house in Cirencester, renovated and expanded it to accommodate our growing family. Then found the world’s best dog, a fox red Labrador, and fully embraced our Cotswold lifestyle.
Cotswold Life
By fortuitous chance the Cotswolds turned out to be one of the UK’s top wedding destinations. I was able to hit the ground running with my wedding photography business. Over the years I’ve built a solid reputation and I’m proud to be a well known name in the local wedding supplier industry. I live in a beautiful village on the outskirts of Cirencester. It boarders the Bathurst Estate and we know the land well and I often walk and run through the vast woodlands.
I have been a photographer for the Bathurst family on numerous occasions. Shooting birthdays, weddings , formal events and family portraits. I have some amazing venues within an hours drive from my front door and the nearest yet is about to open it doors! In spring in 2025 Ivy Lodge hosts it’s first weddings. It’s less than a mile from my home.
Ivy Lodge
Ivy Lodge sits elegantly within the grounds of the Bathurst Estate, offering a unique setting for weddings.
Access to Ivy Lodge begins with a journey along the long, sweeping drive through the estate’s beautiful woodlands. Creating an exciting and enchanting arrival. The venue features an impressive yet welcoming façade with playful architecture, showcasing a stunning example of an 18th-century folly.
It’s the epitome of quintessentially British charm, overlooking the polo grounds where Princes William and Harry played when they were younger. I’ve visited this country wedding venue several times. During my first visit, the renovation was still in its early stages, but I was thrilled to see an AI video of the planned transformation. Returning today, I was both impressed and excited by the progress!
Weddings are defined by the people who attend them, including the suppliers and venue staff. Yard Space Events are well known for their commitment to quality.
