A Love Story at Cripps Stone Barn!
Hello, I’m Eve and if you’ve found yourself here, chances are you’re on the hunt for a wedding photographer for your Stone Barn wedding.
I would like to show you a story. And it’s a love story as those are the stories I tell.
The Indian Wedding
Sohini and James organised their wedding at lightning speed. Their booking with me came just six weeks before the BIG day. And it wasn’t a typical wedding either, two weddings in one day! The Cotswold wedding industry is an incredible force for good though; if there are stops to be pulled, they are pulled with full force to bring everything together for our couples. With a wedding packed with so many elements, good communication is key, and Sohini kept in regular contact so I could guide her through the timings.
I’m also never shy of a challenge. I love a fast‑paced wedding, so like all true wedding pros, I grabbed a strong coffee and a packet of sweets and headed off for the early start at The Bull Hotel in Burford for prep.
When I say timings were tight, I mean it. With a few elements to juggle, like lighting the groups on stage and fitting in family and couple shots, myself and videographer Ben from Benjamin H Films were on our toes all day.
My priority, though, is always my couple’s experience. I bring a wealth of confidence and expertise to weddings, but the most important thing is that the day is enjoyed. Documenting the first ceremony, the Indian wedding, was a privilege that carries real responsibility. It’s a narrative that needs close attention, and that’s exactly what I gave it…
Sohini and James Stone Barn #1
The Civil Ceremony
Back to The Bull Hotel for round two. Just before Sohini and James went to change, we grabbed a couple of portraits. I didn’t want to interrupt the flow or the joy of the Indian ceremony, so five minutes at the hotel was absolutely perfect.
But timings were still tight, and as the weddings product manager things were getting a little manic for Sohini. I’m unflappable though, so with a bit of job delegation, creating some breathing space, Sohini enjoyed the rest of her prep with one of her bridesmaids and then drove herself, like the total badass she is, back to Stone Barn for round two…
The bonds of family and friends were evident, as was all the love. Fifteen hours of shooting surrounded by that much joy doesn’t feel like a long day at all. It was simply an honour.
Eve, I’M JUST OBSESSED WITH THE PHOTO’s!!
If you’re planning a wedding in the Cotswolds and like fresh beautiful photography my experience is unrivalled! Here’s what some of my couples have had to say… Kind words.
