Loseley Park Summer Delight.
I’m taking you all the way back to summer time now. Well we could all do with a bit of Sunshine. Claire and James got married at Loseley Park in Guildford. It was my first time shooting at Loseley Park, I was ready to get my teeth into a new venue.
We met up earlier in the yeah closer to my neck of the woods; actually in the woods at Westonbirt Arboretum. Claire and James had opted to have a pre wedding photoshoot to help them relax a bit in front of the camera. The session was lovely but they needn’t have bothered. They nailed it on the day just by being the happy, easy going people that they are.
Loseley Park what a summer delight. Its a stunning Elizabethan Mansion set in the Surrey Countryside. It classes as a UK Destination wedding for me. I made my way to hotel the night before to make sure there were no travel disruptions. Roughly half my weddings a year require a stay away as I work all over the UK. Its lovely to be able to shoot destination wedding though, whether here in the UK or abroad. You get to see some fantastic places. They have an excellent light and airy bridal room at the venue and that’s where I headed in the morning. Talk about chilled and relaxed and full of laughter.
The wedding ceremony was in the 17th Century Tithe Barn a vast building perfect for a rustic country shindig. The drinks reception was held in amongst the flowers and fountains of the estates 3 acre walled gardens.
We enjoyed all the weather, you have to love the british weather, from torrential rain to the most incredible sundown. Such a treat from beginning to end.
Claire and James were awesome, just doing their day their way and they even dropped me a little note a couple of days later!
A little note…
“Now that our feet have come back to touching the ground, we just wanted to write and say thank you so so much for an absolutely incredible day on Saturday.
We had the most incredible, special, amazing day and we cannot wait to see your beautiful pictures to relive it all over again. The sneak peaks on your Instagram are absolutely amazing and we are so excited to see the rest!
We have had so many comments on how great you were, blending in to the crowd. How people felt so at ease around you, and that they hadn’t even noticed us slipping away for photos! It was so wonderful having you there in the morning and it just felt like you were part of the gang! We really loved our time away with you exploring round the gardens and at sunset – some perfect time alone amidst the hustle of the day!
Thank you so much and we can’t wait to see your amazing work!” C&J

“Married life is pretty great – we’re on the last few days of our honeymoon!
Thank you so much for the absolutely incredible photos! We’ve been refreshing your website daily waiting for them to arrive! Our WiFi on honeymoon is pretty limited, so we’ve had to look at them in staggered sessions for the internet to be able to keep up! We can’t wait to see them on a bigger screen with better WiFi!
There’s so many amazing little moments that you’ve captured and we cannot wait to share all our wonderful photos with all our friends and family. C&J “
