About me...

Photography has been a passion of mine for many years, having grown up with it all around me it has been in my life since I was born. As a child I would accompany my father on shoots both on location and in the studio and although I never used to know how he made it happen I was always fascinated by the final product. Needless to say I have always had a camera on me.

I then studied photography at college to hone my technical skills and discovered my talents  lay with people and portrait photography.  As a Student I used film cameras and dark rooms and gained a real understanding of light, its properties and how to utilise it to get the best pictures.  As an adult I retrained with digital cameras and retouching skills and  use up to date technology to shoot weddings and top spec software to process and finish pictures to create  beautiful crisp images. I still rely heavily on my knowledge of natural light and shadow which help me to create effortlessly beautiful images.

In 2004 I got married. Our wedding photographer, although very good, was not what we had hoped for. The day was very regimented, the guests were uncomfortable and my husband and I felt very unnatural. Needless to say there were not many smiles in my album !

So I decided weddings would be the way to go, photographing real relaxed happiness, the unforgettable moments, in a natural friendly and discreet manner.
